Koru Films is my baby. It is a concept that collides two very important worlds in my solar system; Filmmaking and Purpose.

With a hefty portfolio of corporate videos, I built up my technical skills over the years but felt I was missing the true heart of my work, that of inspiring action and change through emotive storytelling and this is where my passion for filmmaking for the third sector began.

Whilst I am the founder of Koru Films, I collaborate with a selection of independent media professionals who share my values and support my vision.

The Process

Filming Process

Brief

In our journey to create a successful video, the initial step involves a transparent briefing process. During this stage, I delve deep into your requirements, asking questions and encouraging a deeper exploration of your vision and objectives. My primary goal is to establish a robust video strategy, ensuring you gain the utmost value from your investment while staying true to your unique perspective

Proposal

At the proposal stage, I take what we've discussed and use my creativity to shape these ideas into concepts. These concepts are thoughtfully presented in a clear, accessible document. This is where your input and vision truly shine. We'll collaboratively review and refine these ideas, marking the next step in our journey together

Planning

Planning and pre-production is about ensuring that the video is well organised before production begins. This can help to save time and resources during filming and ensure that the final product meets the intended goals in the brief. At this stage expect storyboards, scripts, shot lists, mood boards, meetings, schedules and more…

Creation

Lights, camera, action! This is the part we’ve been working towards. Here the creative process comes to fruition when I get to record, refine, and bring your story to life.

Post Production

In the post-production stage, we take all the footage we've captured and craft it into a polished video. We carefully edit, add music, and bring your story to life. Your input is key as we work together to ensure the video aligns with your vision and this stage is where your video truly comes to life.

Delivery

On completion of the project, you'll get a downloadable link for your film/s in a compatible format. Get ready for a rush of anticipation! Start showing off your film/s to the world and enjoy watching your engagement flourish!
