Wrap - Around The Globe
1. Project overview
WRAP brought staff together for WRAP Around the Globe, an internal event designed to inspire, reconnect and mark an important moment in the organisation’s journey — their growth into a truly global environmental NGO.
The event was both a celebration and a moment of reflection: recognising how far WRAP had come, while looking ahead to the work still to be done in driving circular living worldwide.
WRAP wanted a film that could capture that sense of shared purpose and help staff feel connected to the bigger picture.
2. The focus
Rather than documenting the event in a literal way, the intention was to:
Reinforce WRAP’s mission and global outlook
Capture a sense of unity and collective momentum
Reflect on the challenges ahead without feeling heavy
Leave viewers feeling motivated and connected to the cause
This is a challenge many charities and NGOs face — how to inspire internally while acknowledging the scale of the work ahead.
3. Our approach
The film was shaped around the voices in the room, particularly the keynote speeches from CEO Harriet Lamb. Her reflections on WRAP’s journey and future were rich with metaphor and meaning, offering a natural narrative thread for the film.
We used selected moments from these speeches to open and close the piece — helping the film begin with reflection and finish with a sense of optimism and resolve.
Between these moments, staff interviews focused on the future: the fight ahead, the challenges of environmental work, and how WRAP plans to keep pushing forward circular living on a global scale. Visually, the film draws on footage of people connecting, listening and engaging — reinforcing the idea that this work is done together.
Music played an important role too, building gradually to create a feeling of momentum, shared energy and quiet determination.
4. The finished film
The final film is reflective but uplifting. It acknowledges the scale of the task ahead, while emphasising hope, collaboration and shared responsibility.
Rather than telling viewers what to think, it invites them to feel part of something — a collective effort rooted in purpose and care. While this film was made for WRAP, the approach is one that many charities and NGOs can recognise: using real voices, shared moments and thoughtful storytelling to reconnect people to why they do the work they do.
5. How it’s being used
The film is used internally to support staff engagement and reinforce WRAP’s mission as a global organisation. It also acts as a record of a pivotal moment in WRAP’s journey, capturing both celebration and commitment.
For other organisations, it offers an example of how internal events can become meaningful storytelling moments — helping teams feel seen, valued and united around the causes they’re fighting for.
